
In 2013 a seizure on the training field and a traumatic brain injury ended my professional rugby career and a long road to recovery began. A journey that would change my life forever as it uncovered the power of breathing for initially 'healing' and then performance and recovery.
Once recovered I retrained as a Strength and Conditioning coach but wasn't using any breathing techniques with the professional athletes I was coaching, I wasn't seeing the link between improving breathing and enhancing running performance until I felt it for myself.
I started using running as a way to help work on my breathing. The rhythmical nature of running helped me to find a rhythm with my breathing. In 2018 I finally broke 20 minutes for my 5km Park Run by simply changing my breathing. It opened my eyes and my lungs (and my mind) to the power of breathing for sports performance.... the rest is history.
